Establishment of the International Traditional Sports and Games Committee

With this document, the Italian Federation of Traditional Games and Sports (FIGeST), in cooperation with the Italian Federation Sport for All and the International Sport for All Federation, officially convenes all national and international bodies interested in the world of Traditional Games and Sports to take part in the Constitutive General Assembly and Electoral Congress of the International Traditional Sports and Games Committee, which will be held in Civitanova Marche on 25 January 2026.
The assembly will take place within the framework of the Congress and Extraordinary Assembly of the International Sport for All Federation. During the FISpT General Assembly, the amendment of the FISpT Statutes will be submitted to a vote to officially recognize the International Traditional Sports and Games Committee as a member body of the Federation. During the assembly proceedings, Enzo Casadidio, President of FIGeST, may be elected as Vice President of FISpT with responsibility for Traditional Games and Sports.
On Sunday 25 January 2026, in the morning, the Constitutive Assembly of the International Traditional Sports and Games Committee will be held at the same venue, during which the new international committee will be formally established and recognized.
The International Traditional Sports and Games Committee stems from the strategic cooperation between FIGeST and FISpT, formalized by the agreement signed in Amman, Jordan.
The Committee will act as the world reference body for traditional games and sports, operating:
As the official body recognized by FISpT
In the name and on behalf of FISpT
In the organization of international competitions related to traditional games and sports
In the development of educational and training projects at global level
In the promotion and dissemination of traditional games and sports as a factor of social cohesion and as “Sport for All”

Participants attending in presence will be able to:
Take part in the proceedings of the Extraordinary General Assembly
Attend the constitution of the International Committee
Affiliate themselves with the new committee
Discuss and contribute to defining the statutes and constitution of the Committee
Stand as candidates for key positions within the Committee
Become Members of the Committee (with voting rights)
In order to encourage the widest possible participation, a remote participation option will also be available through a dedicated online platform (access link will be provided to registered participants).
Online participants will have the same rights as in‑person participants.
It is also possible to join the Committee as an Individual Member, either in presence or online, regardless of any organizational affiliation.

This Congress represents a historic milestone in the worldwide promotion of traditional games and sports, marking the formal recognition of the new International Committee by FISpT (an organization recognized by the International Olympic Committee – IOC).
